Since 1951, CBC Radio’s The Broadcast has been sharing stories from across Newfoundland, showcasing people whose livelihoods are tied to the sea. Originally known as The Fisherman’s Broadcast, this beloved radio program celebrated its 75th anniversary this year and what better place to spend it than Fogo Island?
Across five episodes recorded during Ocean Week Canada, the show’s host Paula Gale speaks to Fogo Island’s community members, fishers, visitors, business owners, and tour guides, as well as Shorefast team members.
