Amanda was born and raised on Fogo Island. Her early career in nursing took her to northern Canada where she worked in rural hospital settings. Amanda’s heart remained in Newfoundland; and in 2012, she came home, shifting from a hospital to a hospitality setting, in a role with Fogo Island Inn. Amanda has helped build the Inn’s global reputation for exceptional, place-based, regenerative travel experiences. Along with the Innkeeper Zita Cobb, Amanda is responsible for the holistic guest experience at Fogo Island Inn.
