July 31, 3:00PM at Punt Premises, Joe Batts Arm

Fogo Island Arts, in collaboration with the Environmental Stewardship team, present a cyanotype workshop. Learn about local seaweed species and try your hand at the art of sun printing!

Cyanotype is a type of monochrome print made by placing objects on a pre-prepared, light sensitive surface, and exposing it to sunlight or UV light.

Open to adults and children 8+. Free, registration required – email info@fogoislandarts.ca

Join Jennifer Charles of Seven Seasons Farms for a community yoga class at the Fogo Island Arts Long Studio, near Joe Batt’s Arm.

This is a beginner-level class. Please bring your own mat, or let us know if you require one.

September 26-29, Fogo Island

Shore Time is a biannual gathering celebrating the intersections of art, design, economy, ecology, and foodways.

The artist led program explores the importance of place, our relationship to community economies, and the pivotal role of artists in imagining a sustainable future.

This program is organized by Fogo Island Arts, a longstanding initiative of Shorefast and an international residency program founded on the belief that artists are visionaries with a unique capacity to reveal and respond to the complexities of our time. In coming together on an island off an island in the North Atlantic, we hope to foster a shared sense of belonging.
