Fogo Island Gallery: Exhibition

"Wild Relatives" (2018), a feature-length film by Palestinian artist Jumana Manna, is on view at the Fogo Island Gallery until April 27, 2019. Following a transportation of seeds between the Arctic and Lebanon, "Wild Relatives" unfolds a matrix of people and plant lives between two distant spots of the earth. The Gallery is open daily from 12:00-9:00pm; admission is free and all are welcome.

Expanding the Fogo Island Food Circle

Moderated by Mitchell Davis of the James Beard Foundation, acclaimed food writer Gabriella Gershenson will join Fogo Island Inn’s Executive Chef Jonathan Gushue and Innkeeper Zita Cobb for a food-centred discussion that will touch on themes of wholeness, community, and the most important things: nature and culture. The conversation takes place at The New School in NYC on March 1 at 6:00pm; registration (required) through Eventbrite

On March 15, join Kingman Brewster & Don Wells for an interpretive walk around Joe Batt’s Arm with refreshments at each location. Feel welcome to join at any point along the walk or to drive along if you prefer. Check points as follows: 2pm - Carrie Freake House, 3pm - Fogo Island Punt Premises, 4pm - Orange Lodge. Free & all are welcome.
